Can I modify the code?

Yes. You are free to modify the source code of the free versions as long as you do not include it in a commercial application. You can, however, distrtibute the modified code if your application is 100% GPL. See the details of the GPL license.

 

Can I include the binaries in my application(s)?

Yes, if you include the license agreement and do not claim to be the owner of the binaries and/or source code.

 

What if I want to us (portions of) the code in my commercial application?

You need to buy a commercial license, see the price list and the 'terms and conditions' pages for more details.

 

What about support?

There is no support for either the free or the licensed versions of the Orbifold products. You can, however, post your support questions and concerns in the forums.

 

Is there a difference between the licensed and the free code?

No, the code is the same. There is a dual license model for the released code and the license that is appropriate for you depends on what you do with the code. If you make money out of it and compile (part of) the Orbifold code in your own commercial application(s), you fall under de commercial license. If your application is pure GPL, you fall under the GPL license. If you use the code for educational purposes, you can use the code as you wish as long as you do not pretend to be the owner of the code or compile substential portions of it other(potnetially commericial) applications.
